Can you garden in the city? Anthony Gregory thinks you have to.
Anthony Gregory is one of my favorite writers/thinkers. He recently wrote a fantastic article on urban farming.
This is a good trend that I would like to see go far. Of course the government seems to have other plans:
“In July 2011 news traveled fast of the plight of Julie Bass of Oak Park, Michigan, who was threatened with 93 days of jail time for the crime of planting vegetables in her front yard. A mere five raised beds featuring corn, tomatoes, squash and other vegetables constituted her great offense.”
